Recipe: No Grill BBQ Chicken Breats

I think we can all agree that grilled BBQ chicken is the bomb. BUT, what about those of us who don’t have a grill? Or if the weather outside makes grilling less desirable? Check out this No Grill BBQ Chicken recipe – which uses just a stovetop skillet and the oven. Not to mention, this recipe includes chicken breasts instead of thighs, which provides a nice alternative for those who either don’t like dark meat or are looking for leaner options! ⏩⏩
-4x chicken breasts (of course, can use thighs or wings if desired!)
-1T butter
-Salt, pepper, any extra seasoning to taste
-1t brown sugar
-1c chicken broth
-1/4c apple cider vinegar
-Garlic, minced
-1 yellow onion, chopped or sliced
-BBQ sauce of choice
-Preheat the oven to 450*.
-Trim chicken according to taste.
-In a small bowl, whisk broth, vinegar, brown sugar, and garlic.
-In a skillet over medium high heat, add butter and then chicken breasts. Season according to taste. Flip after a few minutes for even cooking, re-season if needed.
-In a baking pan, add the onions and spread evenly. Add the chicken on top of the onions once cooked. Pour the liquid mix over the chicken and onions.
-Cover and bake for 20min. Add BBQ sauce on top to taste. ENJOY!
